Up for sale is a vintage Omega mechanical watch, a fine piece from 1956 according to the serial number of the movement.
The watch has been freshly serviced: movement taken apart and parts cleaned, oiled and regulated.
The champagne dial, along with the classic markers and leaf hands are a fine representation of the era that according to many collectors may be considered the golden age of watchmaking industry. In any case the design is among the finest.
The steel case is NOS, new old stock condition. The case diameter is 17 mm excluding the crown, 19.5 mm with the crown.
With its original signed Omega crown.
It has its original Omega crystal with the Omega symbol in the center.
Movement is of the famous caliber 480 series, 481. The bronze movement is signed Omega Watch Co., Swiss.
Power reserve is around 40 hours.
Fitted with a high quality new leather strap.
The watch has been tested for weeks and kept time: not running any noticably fast or slow within the day (within a minute daily).
